Our story
Two sisters, a sister-in-law and one idea
Inspiring Pretty began in 2010 on Blogspot. Two sisters and their sister-in-law had each spent time writing about women’s interests for other websites, and they decided it was time for a place of their own: a home for all the things in which women find beauty.
The site has grown a lot since those first posts, and today it is run day to day by the youngest sister, Claire, with Bonnie and Lindsey on the editor team. All three of us are fashion designers and stylists, so the site now centers on what we know best: what to wear, how to wear it, and the hair, makeup and beauty details that finish a look, wedding days included.
Our biggest library today is outfit ideas built around tops, from crop tops and tank tops to crochet, corset and lace styles. Each guide pairs a top with real outfit ideas you can copy, so you can see the whole look before you put it together.

Meet the team
Meet Claire, Bonnie and Lindsey
Inspiring Pretty is written and edited by three fashion designers and stylists who have worked on it together since 2010.

Claire
Claire started Inspiring Pretty in 2010 and runs it day to day. She grew up near Chicago and in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, and now lives in the Washington D.C. area. She is a fashion designer and stylist, and weddings are her soft spot: ask her about wedding dress designers, or about traveling to ancient sites around the Mediterranean, and you will be talking for a while.

Bonnie
Bonnie has been part of Inspiring Pretty since the first posts in 2010. In the early years she ran our weekly round-up of finds from independent makers. Today she is a fashion designer and stylist on our editor team, styling and editing looks for the site with Claire and Lindsey.

Our principles
Written by real stylists
Our guides come from Claire, Bonnie and Lindsey, who are fashion designers and stylists. We never put a name on work that person did not do.
