So many elements of weddings focus on the bride and groom – and rightfully so – but this may put you at risk of leaving your closest friends out of many of your wedding photos. This simply will not do when it comes to your best girlfriends – your bridesmaids. After all, they are the women who are so dear to you that you asked them to stand by your side on the biggest day of your life. You will want more than the formal post-wedding ceremony wedding party photos to remember them at your big day. You must capture the fun moments, the sweet times, their quirky personalities and above all, your relationships with each one of them. Bridesmaid photos must be unique, because they are.
Make sure your photographer takes bridesmaid photos during special “bridesmaid” moments. Snap photos of bridesmaids as they help you get put on your wedding dress, pray for you, initiate the flower girl into the female comrade, stand beside you at the aisle and watch your first dance with your husband.
Be sure to also take photos that highlight your relationships with each one of your bridesmaids. This may be done through funny bridesmaid photos that show off their sense humor individually or touching photos that feature how you know your bridesmaids.
There is no right or wrong way to do it. Just be sure the love is present if your bridesmaid photos, because that is what will last for the years to come as you look back on your wedding photos – well that and the fashion of the day.
