Valentine’s Day is approaching quicker than you think and even if you do not do much to celebrate the day, chances are that you will at least be giving a card. We have gone over DIY Valentines Day cards in the past for kids and adults such as this, this and this. We are big believers of DIY, especially when it comes to heartfelt things, such as Valentines Day cards. Some construction paper, glue, ribbon, stamps, markers and maybe a few household items can go a long way. And, if you are handy at Photoshop, then you have even more options.

So, rather than spending $5 or more on a mildly-amusing and impersonal card, you can quickly make one of these below (or if you really want, to buy from Etsy).

Whether burlap, fabric, felt, lace or otherwise, handmade envelopes are far dearer to the heart than anything you can buy at the store. They complement DIY Valentines Day cards well. The care is in the details, so a small gesture of a homemade Valentines Day card may be the simplest and sweetest to wish your kids, husband or child a happy Valentines Day.
