Fall Felt Crafts

I am loving felt this Fall. I’ll probably still love it over the Winter too but this Fall is when I’ve just “fall”en in love with it. {Sorry, that was bad.} I have been trying to make all sorts of decorative things for my home with felt.  You probably saw my Halloween Bunting Tutorial a few weeks ago but I recently made one for Thanksgiving. It turned out so good!

It’s so easy to just sit on the floor in front of the TV at night with Moviestar, cutting pendants out of felt. I really enjoyed making this one.

I didn’t have letters this time {since I didn’t purchase a set} so I had to make my own. At first I didn’t know how I was going to do it. I’m no good at drawing letters, especially onto felt. But then I remembered I have a Cricut!! I just cut out some letters. It was super easy. Cricuts usually are….

Then I traced them {backwards of course} onto the felt, cut them out and ….. duh, duh, duh, duh!

I have letters! All ready for my pendants. I’m so glad my Cricut isn’t just for paper crafting.

Once I added a few Steam-a-Seams to help it stick to the pendant, I was all set to iron them on.  You could use a glue gun if you must but it always seems to make the felt curl up {not what I wanted ) and it’s a bit messy. The Steam-a-Seam is a lot easier. Just put them on a iron.

My Thanksgiving Felt Bunting!

I just added a few felt leaves and attached with a ribbon.  Why don’t you try it?
